Move and Grow for Parent/toddlers/preschoolers!

Dancing together with your child while exploring movement activities and practicing skills is not only lots of fun, but very educational. Learn activities that you can explore further at home. A wide variety of music, props, BrainDance rhymes, rhythm instruments, and an obstacle course add to the playful environment and learning. Caregivers are always welcome!

Move and Grow for babies, toddlers at North Kirkland CC


Move and Grow at North Kirkland Community Center with instructor Jessica Gleason

Jessica brought her years of experience teaching babies, toddler, and preschoolers at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle to the eastside creating Move and Grow. Jessica has an extremely creative and joyful approach to teaching! Her classes use "tummy time", coordinated movements and BrainDance rhymes to integrate the mind and body, while reinforcing the importance of movement in early life.

Move and Grow for Babies

For infants 2 months-pre-walking

This class focuses on fun and appropriate movements for building baby’s body and brain. Meaningful social/emotional connections are made as you and baby dance together and with others. Explore dance concepts using multi-sensory props and instruments. Sing nursery rhymes and move to a wide variety of music. Learn how to support and encourage tummy and floor time so baby can move through the early developmental patterns that wire the central nervous system and brain. Caregivers are always welcome. Dance and play time rolled into one hour of baby fun!


Move and Grow for Toddlers

For children walking to 2.5

Move and Grow for toddler classes the children are playfully engaged to move using fun concepts, such as size and level.  The children will learn new skills while enjoying a wide variety of music, props, rhythm instruments, Braindance rhymes, and an obstacle course!
